Summary[edit | edit source]
Title: (or description)[edit | edit source]
Sitting position that resulted in significant cerebral blood flow reduction in patients with severe ME. Orthostatic intolerance affecting daily life was present in 90% of those with severe ME, a sitting position could be used since many may not be able to tolerate a standard 70 tilt test for orthostatic intolerance.
van Campen et al. 2020 states: "A sitting test was chosen over a standing test or tilt-table test because patients were not able to stand for more than several minutes and we wanted to avoid the prolonged post-exertional malaise that can occur after tilt table testing."
